Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 120: What I Will Do Differently This Year

There are always some things that we later realise had not been done well and in the right way and when we start new year we always think that there is something that we have to change. It is the same with myself. Like I mentioned before, being a student we have quite busy time starting from September till June but in summer we have time for holiday. I think the past year before starting summer break I did not put much effort to get some summer job. It was not a plan of any job but preferable in my field of study. I have applied for couple of companies but too late and that was a reason why I was not considered. I did not much to get a job but it was the same for my friends. I believe in the first year we are all less experienced and many companies prefer to take students in more higher years.
When I filled my paperwork last year I thought that everything was done well and it was enough to compete with others, only now I realise that despite of that it was not much experience that I included. I also think that maybe to search summer job within University and faculties would be better choice, because we already knew many teachers and projects that started.
This year is already my second year of study, of course, no I have better knowledge and experience. The positive thing is that during our year we had an opportunity to spend some working weeks where we could visit the companies and also to be part of the team. I think it was important to show myself better, first of all to arrive to work without delay. I tried to learn as much as possible and ask when I needed help. I made few friends and even a project manager was happy with the result of our final work. This time I also applied for internship for summer time in December and included my experience. I am glad that this time I have already my place for summer. At least that is different from last year.
New year for me seems to become very good, first of all understandably, my work for summer! I am very excited to be able to show my skills and to be a part of the team. It is great opportunity to work and learn and feel a bit adult. I also will have a little holiday towards end of summer because I also want to enjoy some free time, me and my friends will have a travel around some countries in Europe we have not planned our trip yet it will depend on how many we come together and how long we can plan.
