SLC-S31/W3-“Creative Interpretation| The Theme -“Silence Speaks”
Interpret "Silence Speaks" Creatively In An Art, Poem, Photography |
|---|
I lay alone in my space counting the ceiling tiles
The sun outside warmly embraces me through the window
It smile at me. I smile back
The sun whisper to me: It's 1pm. What are you up to?
I feel cold water dropping down my cheeks
It poured out freely like a shower
My heart was blocked from consolation for minutes
Then came my Savior. He unblocked the road to consolation
Consolation touched me and said: Beloved, go and capture nice moments outside. Feel warm. You're alive
I wipe my eyes and took my camera
I smile again.
What Message Is Being Communicated Through Silence In Your Piece? |
|---|
However, the given poem above tells a story of a young man, who is home alone. His parents and siblings had left home to their work. The neighborhood is calm and silence fills the environment; no TV or radio playing, no engine whirring, no voices of laughter or baby crying.
He admires nature, sunlight, that warmly embrace him through the window. He smiled. At once, the sun reminds him of the time of the day. Others left the residence in silence for their hustle to pay their bills and satisfy their needs. He is home, jobless. His Smile fades, left with silence, his thoughts of being jobless. These caught him so deep that he could not control his tears.
Eventually his saviour came: his memories. He loves taking photos of nature's beauty. In the midst of tears, memories gave way to consolation which is his passion for photography. Once again, he smiled.
Yes, Silence speaks, it hurts without saying a word to him, using the very nature he admires so much. That same silence heals him.
Silence in this piece makes me realize my state in life. And I ask myself: How well do I use my time? I'm I working on what silence tells me about my life? Though what silence offer may hurt sometimes like in the situation of the young man in the poem; the sun reminds him he is jobless. Silence can help me realize what I'm passionate about. Accepting my passion can be a result of what silence taught me.
Additionally, silence clears away distractions. When I'm quiet, I see that this creates an opportunity to reflect on my current life's challenges and help me build the foundation on how to overcome them.
Who Is Silent In Your Interpretation And Why? |
|---|
The young man in the poem is the one who is silent here. He is lonely. Silence set in, as the the sun embraces him, reminds him of the time of the day and the responsibility he has ahead: to get himself a job.
Another thing is, the young man is being connected to nature. Because he is being silent, he could recall the memories he had and embrace his passion for nature's beauty. This helps him cope with his current challenge.
What Happens If The Silence Is Finally Broken? |
|---|
When silence is finally broken, the young man leaves the house with his camera, showing he is ready to face is challenge of being jobless. Truly, silence can prepare the heart to cope with life's challenges.
Life's challenge can make me feel down and gets my heart heavy. If I'm not careful, I might break my silence in pain and hurt others with what I say or do and this will be regret later. To avoid this, I need to stay silent, it would help me discover what to use and cope with my challenges.
My Conclusion |
|---|
"Silence speaks" when there's no distraction. They may hurt, bring shame and loneliness, but that silence creates opportunity to reflect on my life's challenges instead of breaking the silence in pain which may hurt others around me and leads to regret. Staying silent will help me discover what will help me cope with life's challenges and, hopefully overcome them.
