Ghana opens applications for medicinal cannabis cultivation, wee is still illegal though

Applications are now open for the cultivation and management of cannabis in Ghana. Interested applicants are invited to apply in accordance with the country’s regulatory guidelines. So now Ghana has finally and officially opened applications for the cultivation and management of industrial and medicinal cannabis, and it was following the historic launch of the national licensing regime on the 26th of February by the minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak.

The police were able to seize 397 slabs of suspected cannabis which were concealed in charcoal bags. They exposed serious drug smuggling going on. They also arrested a 48 year old man who was responsible for the hidden cannabis.

I think that cannabis commercialisation will be a good thing for the country because it has its benefits, the problem is that people abuse the plant so instead of banning it, we must figure out ways of stopping th abuse itself. Because if we don't do it, as a country we risk missing out on medicinal cannabis breakthroughs and an already $50 billion global Industry.

If you're from Ghana I just have to let you know that Wee is still illegal, cannabis cultivation permit is strictly for medicinal purpose not recreational purposes, that's what interior Minister says right now.
