If your lilies are not flowering

If you have a lilly flower which are my favorite by the way and they're not growing my first guess is that it's a sunlight access problem. For mine yeah, it's growing so well, her big round leaves are taking over the whole pot like and it's beautiful. But for the flower part, I had troubles with it. I've planted three times now, still no flowers.

This is when they grow perfectly well, look at such beautiful. Of course these are not water Lilies, and just so you know they might have similar names but are from two completely different plants

I thought maybe I'm not watering it right or maybe the pot's too small. I've done a ton of research on soil amendments for aquatic plants. Infant I feel like I've even become a soil amendment expert right now. The problem was what I just said, sunlight.

Water lilies need about six hours of direct sunlight a day. I'm not talking about bright shades or the morning sun that's over by noon. Just six hours of good direct sunlight a day. It shouldn't have interruptions or breaks during that period. And you need the discipline to keep them, you can't be saying it's too hot outside today, I'm not going to water my water lily. If they do not receive the proper amount of light, they will continue to show you nothing but leaves. Don't worry they're also nice looking leaves but it's failure. The leaves fooled me into thinking everything's okay.

Even if you have the right quality of water, fertilizer, container depth, you still will not have flowers if you do not have the right amount of light. So I've now put the pot on the low wall where my eggplants get the afternoon sun. After a few weeks, I now have two little buds coming up above the water. It's not fully grown yet though, but there's progress so we thank God for that.

The first thing to do before doing anything else, whether it's soil, feed or water, is to check the amount of direct sunlight the area gets.

I have seen this flower on the edge of the rice fields in the area where I live, but the shape is similar, I don't know the correct name of this flower.

That's a beautiful lily flower, it's my favorite infact I'll be writing more on it later on. But fun fact it's different from water lily
