Simple sunflower seed snacks used for more things

Ever since I bought a small container of sunflower seeds from a shop near my office last Thursday, I can't seem to get a certain thought out of my mind. It's nothing serious in particular, sunflower seeds happen to be a good treat and I've got a lot of them stored in the kitchen and this is probably my fourth blog about them so far. As I was eating it and looking at this container, I realized I really had no idea what else these things were for. But I had to do the research to learn more about it and as your typical Genz, straight to Gemini instead of good old Google search because I don't want to spend too much time searching from site to site.

They are pressed to extract cooking oil eventually. The type of oil many of us rely on without giving it a second thought. There’s also the roasted, salted, packaged variety of sunflower seeds like the one I was eating on.

I believe that the uncomplicated aspects of sunflower seeds may actually be beneficial or useful. Not every ingredient has to be exotic or wonderful in its own right for it to be usable. They are sunflower seeds, not exactly the raw oil America keeps fighting just to take from other countries.

But it's still something that is constantly useful. The oil you use for your stew. The snack you keep in your pocket in waiting for the long afternoon to end. We don't necessarily celebrate sunflower seeds like we do with Pringles but I can tell you if we took Pringles out, the world would still be the same, if we took away sunflower seeds, you just lost a good ingredient and natural healthier snack.
