The reason eggplant tastes bitter to some

I went through some tweets and I found out some people complain about the bitterness of eggplants, but it’s really all about the way they're cooked.

A lot of times, a lot of people do not use enough salt, if you simply slice it and throw it in a pan, you are going to have to taste the bad aftertaste that came from lack of salt.

What you have to do is you have to sprinkle some salt all over the white parts of the eggplant and let it sit so it gets sweat. The salt, along with any moisture in the eggplant will pull out the bitterness. One time I left a bowl of eggplant on the table for two hours, the power went out before I finally fried them and they tasted different. They were softer too.

Some people are just in too much of a hurry to eat that's why they don't properly cook. If you can't wait for a vegetable to cook for twenty minutes, then just eat something else. It makes a big difference in texture. My neighbor claims to not like eggplants, but he doesn't know anything. He just wants to boil everything, it's not just because of the heat but also because they haven't used the right kind of salt, there are major differences among some salts.

It's how correctly you cook it. After putting eggplant in oil, they just sit there soaking it up. It takes a long time for an eggplant to get soft and sometimes they're just too tough for that.

Yesterday I stood at my stove for 15 minutes waiting for my eggplant to be ready and nothing happened. My back hurt because I had to stand on a chair that was too low. Sometimes I just eat bread and go to sleep. I wish it was different and it didn't take that long because if your gas goes out while you’re waiting for an eggplant to soften you will have a lot of problems. It's definitely good for our bodies but the stress waiting for an eggplant to cook is too much for some. My pan was getting way too hot while I was waiting that's why I don't use it too often.
