What would you plant if you had this much land?

I saw this huge piece of land on my way home and I had to imagine what I would do with it if I owned it. For me, one of the most sustainable things to do with land for money is farming or agriculture because human beings depend on it so if you do it right you'll be in business forever regardless of how advanced technology gets.

When you're actually standing in the middle, twenty acres feels like a whole lot of room. Heat usually starts hittimg you around 10am. So it won't be easy for the workers that plough the land or building stuff on it.

But I'll plant palm trees. In terms of palm oil, I guess about thirteen acres of palm oil makes sense, because mills are always looking to buy, but seedlings are getting pretty expensive.

The next thing I'll grow is cassava, which I'll be putting in maybe five acres. I've heard it's easy to grow, but peeling it is a real job and the ground gets really tough in January. If you sell it fast, you can get some cash to buy better boots, you'll need those boots if you want a farm that size.

I'm going to fill in the other spots with plantain and bananas, and I can intercrop with them since the palms will still be little and short, and it keeps the soil cooler. In the first two years, I might also add some yams and peppers.

As for the oil palm, it takes years to make any money from it so you really have not option than to just wait. For the shortest possible time the cassava is a better crop. If it doesn't rain by the end of April, my whole plan for the vegetables will probably fail, and I will just be sitting in the shade. The soil in this area is full of little rocks. I wonder if a tractor can even fit through it. But then again I'm imagining it so I don't have to worry about that. I wish I did have to worry because that would mean I have the land in real life.
