Farm irrigation is the process of using artificial methods to water the land where we plant the crops so that they can grow effectively. Farm irrigation serves as an alternative when there is no rainfall during that period. It has been over 5,000 years since this practice has been used in agriculture, and it has been done in every culture to keep the crops alive. Irrigation is useful because it helps suppress weeds so that they do not disturb the crops from growing in the farm field.

This method has been practiced in Nigeria, especially in the northern areas where irrigation is mostly used to grow tomatoes, scotch bonnet peppers, and other crops; that is why those crops are mostly available.

This irrigation we are talking about normally takes place beside groundwater or rivers from which they are withdrawn and spread to the crops so that they can grow effectively. Treated water, as a form of irrigation, has an advantage because it serves as fertilizer to help the plants do well in the soil.

Farm irrigation has a lot of advantages because a seed cannot grow in dry soil. That's why farm irrigation is recommended as an alternative. The most important thing that keeps surprising me is that irrigation can run at any time once it is programmed to operate at a certain time. In fact, it's considered one of the best methods for soil health. Small amounts of irrigation that drop on grass, crops, and flowers help them grow quicker and faster.
