There once was a goat who liked to imagine himself in a safe and prosperous world, a world where corn was everywhere and he had the grasslands to himself, the water was all his, he wouldn't have to lick it with other goats.

The goat's problem was actually overthinking and not scarcity or hunger.

Corn was a real thing and enough to feed him and the other goats but he had the worst kind of demon, greed.

Forgetting the corn he had and imagining a fantasy farm was more harmful than it was helpful to the goat but only experience could have taught him that.

He imagined a perfect world. In reality he didn't have the grass. The imagined future was a place that had grass where he thought it would be. Corn was also grass, something he could eat and it was right in front of him.

He was really overthinking the situation and spending more of his little energy protecting the imagined future more than he was protecting the tangible corn he had.

He got worked up over the fact that he could never have what he had imagined. So angry that he kicked with his left hind leg. Unfortunately the corn was right behind him in a bucket. To make matters worse the bucket was right behind a river. The bucket and the corn fell into the river and were moved away.

The owner of the goat saw the whole thing. In anger he said to himself, this goat is more stubborn than the others, he'll be meat this week.

Not only did the goat lose the corn which was real, he lost his life as well. That is what fantasy does to you. You could lose real time imagining a world that would never come when you could have used what was there and what was tangible and accessible to you.

This goat was used more of a scapegoat to the other goats. They appreciated the corn they had right in front of them, more than they did before.

They never bothered to live in the dream world, they lived in the real world and used what they had.
