Garden eggs may be the easiest vegetable to grow

Garden eggs are an important crop especially for new farmers. And they should be, they're one of the easiest crops you can grow.

Garden eggs like the heat, are tolerant to drought and don't require constant attention before harvest. A trial in eastern Uttar Pradesh shows that crops planted in September to avoid the heat will do just fine, and you'll have an easier time getting them planted because of less stress. I'll test that here, this isn't Uttar but chances are it's the same for our region.

There are pests that like garden eggs too. Flea beetles don't care if you picked a low stress crop. Bacterial wilt doesn't either, they all want to eat the crop you planted and nothing else. And if the market is only selling garden eggs for the price of your hard work and investments, there's no point in growing pumpkins, and you'll lose your confidence far more then than your planting.

So let's say the soil is good, moisture tolerance is okay and the yield can be okay too, you still need an outlet to sell it. Stocking a lower volume of produce can make sense if you don't have a fair or reasonable price when you want to sell your produce.

If someone pointed you towards the direction of starting to grow garden eggs, it's great advice they just gave you. They're easy to grow, use little input and can be grown in almost any climate. If you're looking for food security in your home, this is an ideal crop. But scaling up to commercial production takes a different approach and should be discussed separately than all that I just told you.

Harvesting garden eggs is simple compared to some other crops and the only difficulties you will have, come from the assumptions made at the outset of the growing process.
