How true is this in agriculture?
I was scrolling through X this morning and I bumped into a post that I really needed to share on Steemit and specifically the Steem Agro community. It would be great to get some opinions on it because all I'm really going to share are my thoughts on this post.

What intrigued me to really spend some time thinking about this is because I actually had plans of one day owning a huge farm. Most of the farms are owned by extended family members. My Grandpa has a small cocoa farm and he doesn't fully rely on it for daily survival although it brings very good money to him.
I've romanticized stopping all work and going into farming. The reality the person spoke of is very true although the way he puts it might send some sort of fear in the minds of people who are enthusiastic about farming. Remember one thing though, as a farmer you're feeding the earth, if you understand and appreciate that, you'll see the the hustle is worth it. You're like a mother who goes through all she goes through to make sure the meal is ready for the entire family.
This person didn't have any stone left unturned. Farm job is more stressful than office jobs. The work hours are longer but I think that depends on what job you're doing. Some people are pure laborers at the farm who will go through this and some are rich owners who oversee the workers and set up systems to ensure their farm produces a yield that is profitable.
The risk involved is as high as the post puts it. You can put in all the work and pests can come and destroy it but my opinion or take is that you didn't really put in all the work if you had left out pest control and understanding soil, seasons and policies of your community or nation. It's part of the work that guarantees that you stay in profit. If there's demand and you supply, you should make money. How you operate matters a lot.
There are also smarter ways to do the same job with less effort and stress. There's a chance the person who sees farming as slavery is not applying some methods. It's difficult no doubt but that's why there's education in agriculture, so you'll be able to increase your chances of success while you reduce the human labor and work hours.
