Pick and Write [Agricultural Word]👉#16
The weather has the final say for farming, at least with the extent to which our technology and knowledge goes, we have to rely on nature and the weather having some mercy on farming.
It really doesn't matter what crops you've sown, preparation work you've done, and what your forecasts say. Crops can be severely impacted by a lack or a surplus of moisture, wind or hail. Planning doesn't always mean success and that's what makes agriculture and farming slightly unpredictable in terms of the yield you'll get at harvest time.
The Weather will do what it meant and you get the gains or the loss depending on whether it benefited you or not.
It's the part people outside of the industry struggle to understand. The risk isn't shared at all All of it is held by the thr farmer. It is also not just some financial loss because it can mean years of labor lost, and the bad weather which caused it moves on and holds no liability.
The most powerful and uncontrollable variable is nature. Understanding and accepting that as a farmer today is very necessary for you.
Everyone lies within some form of industry, and while that industry usually has its own form of unpredictability, it can often dictate the structure of the relationships within the industry. Whether it is a lack of employees, slow sales, project delays or a flooded market, every single form of traditional predictability has another side. The weather doesn't allow droughts to plans, it will dictate the rules and does so with a full control over the outcomes.
The unfortunate thing is farmers have no choice. If they're making plans that span a year at a time or they're living in uncertainty, farmers have to adapt. Most people check the weather more than likely than farmers check up on their phones. Most of the time farmers have to change their plan for that weather event.
That's not to say praise is what farmers are after. It is not easy to appreciate what farmers do because we are not giving them attention that much, everyone just wants the food. It is a hard job with challenges that not many people experience. An example of a challenge is the uncertainty of weather patterns. I think of farming as a business that depends on the weather and Mother Nature.
