USES OF SOME CASH CROPS
Cocoa: Cocoa is used for the production of beverages, cocoa butter, cake, liquor, cosmetics etc. Its byproducts can be used as organic fertilizer band livestock feed. Cocoa id one of the source of foreign exchange especially in some African countries like Nigeria.

MAIZE: is a cereal that is produced in abundance all over the world. MAIZE is used to produce different things like cornflakes, golden morn, etc.
Cassava: Cassava is one of the major crops in Nigeria. Different dishes can be made from cassava especially local swallows like fufu and garri. It is one of the crops planted by almost all farmers. It has also led to improvement in food security.
Rice: Rice is a cash crop that serves as a source of livelihood for farmers leading to food security and income generation.
Fruits: Some farmers export fruits and make lots of money from it. Apart from this, fruits are also used to Maje different things like wine, cosmetics, body cream, drugs etc. Some fruits are also sold and eaten raw which helps cure some diseases example being soursop fruit.

Advantages /Benefits of cash crops
• Cash crops generate income in abundance for farmers. The money generated is put back into farming which brings about more money.
• Cash crops helps improve the country's economy through exports. Foreign exchange is earned for the country.
• Cash crop farming leads to employment opportunities. This helps improve standard of living of citizens in the country.
• It generated revenue through taxes and export earnings to the government.
DISADVANTAGES OF CASH CROPS
• Cash crop farming had to do with planting the same crops over and over again. This reduces soil fertility and I creases erosion.
• Planting cash crops and exporting them reduces the availability of locally produced food, but increase independence on food exports.
• It can lead to price fluctuations as income from cash crops can fall when market prices decline.
