| SLC-S31/W3-“Creative Interpretation| The Theme -“Silence Speaks”
🌟اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اَللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ🌟 |

I am @elsa-queen. I hope you are all doing well and finding little moments of happiness in your lives. It has been quite some time since I last connected here and in this gap. I realized something very beautiful. Silence has its own voice. How have you all been? Sometimes even without many words. We can still feel connected.
My sincere thank ma'am @ninapenda for organizing a creative writing challenge. Through this beautiful initiative. We are given a chance to pause, reflect and express the unspoken feelings. That often remain hidden within us.
Interpret “Silence Speaks” creatively in an art, poem, photography. |

Quiet room and dim light,
A mother is sitting quietly there.
She is not saying anything,
But somehow… everything is in the air.
Her lips are silent.
But her eyes are full of words.
It feels like her heart is speaking.
In a way that can still be heard.
Her hands move gently
Full of care and warmth.
Like she is healing every pain
Without making it a storm.
She says nothing at all
Yet you feel her near.
Her silence is not empty
It is something very sincere.
Maybe it is a prayer in every breath
May love in every glance.
It is soft and simple
It still has a strong presence.
This is not just a picture
It feels more like a moment we know.
A mother’s silence…
That somehow says more than words can show.
What message is being communicated through silence in your piece? |
|---|
I think the message in this silence is very simple. But also very deep. The real love does not always need words. Sometimes, it is just there… in actions, in care, in small things we don’t even notice.
A mother does so much without saying anything. She goes through pain, tiredness and stress. But she does not always talk about it. Not because she can’t. But maybe because she doesn’t want to make things heavy for others.
There are also some feelings that just can not be explained. You can try, but words don’t feel enough. That’s where silence comes in. It lets you feel instead of just listen.
Her silence gives a strange kind of comfort. It makes you feel safe. It is like everything will be okay.
Who is silent in your interpretation and why? |
|---|
In my piece the one who is silent is the mother. And honestly, her silence feels very real.
I think she stays quiet not because she has nothing to say. But because she has learned to live this way. She expresses everything through what she does not what she says. Her love shows in small things. Her care, her presence, her sacrifices.
She hides her tiredness. Even if she is exhausted. She won’t always say it. She keeps her pain inside. Sometimes she lets go of her own wishes. Just so her child can be happy.
She could talk about it. She could share her struggles. But maybe she doesn’t want her child to feel worried or guilty. So she stays quiet.
And that silence… it’s not weakness. It actually feels like strength. A kind of patience that not everyone has.

Sometimes I feel like she might be lonely too. But even then she keeps going. For her, her child’s smile matters the most.
That’s why even without speaking, she says everything. You just have to feel it.
What happens if that silence is finally broken? |
|---|
When mother speaks. It is emotional moment. She might talk about all those nights she stayed awake. The times she ignored her own needs. The dreams she quietly left behind.
And honestly… it might be hard to hear.
Because we would realize that all this time, we didn’t really understand her silence. We saw it, but we didn’t feel it.
Maybe we would feel a little guilty. Maybe we would get quiet ourselves. Maybe even cry.
But at the same time. It could also change us. It could make us more aware and more caring.
It would remind us that silence is not nothing. Sometimes it holds the deepest truth.
And maybe after that, we would start listening… even when no words are spoken.
