What is Pruning
Pruning is the practice of removing unwanted, dead, or excessive plant (a branch, bud or root) growth in agriculture, horticulture and gardening. Pruning is primarily performed to improve the plant health, form and productivity. The spreading of the disease and pests is avoided by pruning to remove diseased or damaged parts. It is also more exposed to circulation as well as permeation of sunlight that prefers greater growth and flowering.
With the help of pruning, it is possible to regulate the size and the shape of the plants to make them more beautiful and easier to maintain. Fruits bearing plants that are pruned properly increase production as well as the quality of fruits. In totality, pruning is a huge undertaking in the quest to have a healthy, vibrant and well-formed plants.
What are the different Pruning types.
Pruning refers to the selective process of weeding out of plant portions in order to enhance growth, shape, and productivity. Pruning has a number of major categories. Young plants are formed through formative pruning and they become strong.
Going backward makes shoots shorter to stimulate bushy growth. Rejuvenation pruning is a process of reducing the size of the plants that are old or overgrown in order to induce new growth. Root pruning restricts the expansion of a root in order to manage the size of the plants. Crown pruning enhances the structure and safety of trees. Both types of pruning are used to achieve a certain purpose based on the age and condition of the plant.
What are the benefits/effects of Pruning.
Honestly pruning is when you cut away parts of plants and this helps the plants be healthy and strong. It gets rid of the sick parts, which means there will be fewer bugs and less chance of disease spreading.

Pruning also helps plants get air and sunlight. When you prune you are opening up the plant, which's good for making food and growing good fruit or flowers. Pruning helps keep the plants a size so they do not get too big or messy. It keeps everything around buildings or power lines. Pruning is important for the health and safety of the plants and the things, around them.
The effect of pruning is new growth through redirection of energy to the healthy buds which frequently boosts flowering and yield. It enhances the building of the branches reducing the possibility of fracture during wind or heavy fruiting. It is also through regular pruning that dying plants are re-energized, their life-span is prolonged, and harvesting, spraying, and overall maintenance are simpler and more effective when done at the right time and by use of proper tools and techniques that give the best term outcomes.
