SC-S26W3/Video Editing; Introduction to Audio in CapCut
Can you watch a movie or videos without audio? No! Because audio adds those emotions to videos, throughout the past week we have been learning about clip cutting and so on. This week we are learning how to add audio to our video.
Nature is calm, and I love how flowers appreciate nature; they bloom in rainy and dry seasons. Nature speaks love, you feel loved while looking and experiencing the wonders of nature. How can you gain calmness? Find a natural spot with sounds from birds and nature, a very green environment, and you will find the peace you seek.
I was able to capture my Little sister as Nature and the Sunflower 🌻 gave her that love, the bright Sunflower blooming when scorched by the sun.

While I uploaded the clips, I noticed that the background noise was disturbing, the shout from neighbours, and also kids playing, so I decided to use one of the tools used in class.
Since I didn't have any important audio to allow in the clip, I didn't go in to reduce the volume I just went straight to "mute clip".

This tool allowed me to mute the entire clip rather than muting one after the other.
• | Record |
---|
From the tasks, we were asked to record a voice note saying, "Hi, I am imohmitch in Steemit". To achieve this, from the menu I clicked on sounds, and I went to records to make a voiceover on what to say.

Since I didn't have to make use of the teleprompter, I used only the records, which I pressed and held to start recording. It started with a countdown from 3-1 to prepare you. I recorded the voice note which was added to my clip.

While reviewing my clip, I had to remove this CapCut text at the end of my video. I clicked on it, which made it active, and I used the delete tool in the menu.
• | Speed |
---|
In the intro, after the message, I decided to do a small montage speed which was taught in the last class. This helped give many details when she was trying to touch the sunflower.

I made sure I controlled the speed by making some clips fast, some slow, and then others normal. All these were tools used in the last class, and I can see how important they were in this clip.

• | Zoom |

The last two photos I added were a bit short and I wanted everything to align with the video, so I decided to use the zoom
The tool taught in lesson 1.

• | Overlay |

I made sure I added an overlay to my video using the overlay tool. I used the Steemit logo and extended it to the end of my video, reduced it, and placed it in the top corner of my video.

Getting back to the important lesson of the week, I need to add sounds and sound effects. I spent 2hours looking for good copyright-free songs for my video. Most of the songs I like are not copyright-free, so to find a better one, I had to use Pixabay.

Using the audio tool, I went to the sounds, which is a list of sounds. Since I already downloaded my copyright-free music, I went straight to the device and selected the music I downloaded.

Fade Tool: This is important in a video because audio can't just start and end; this made my audio fade in slowly.

While I clicked on audio, I went straight to sound effects. In this spot, I saw plenty of trending sounds to use, but since I was dealing with nature, I decided to search for a bird chirp, and I added it to my clip.
• | Volume |
---|
I was finally able to use my volume tool by reducing the volume of my sound effects; the bird chirp was too loud, so I reduced it a little.
I made sure I used the 9:16 video Aspect Ratio
All videos were taken with my Redmi12C
I have commented on my peer's entry
IPFS video is broken.
