It is simple and effective practice in the field of the agriculture which includes to cover the soil with the layer of the organic and inorganic matter. This is a protective barrier for the soil which is beneficial for the health of the soil ,for the growth of the plants and the environment.

Mulching technique decrease the process of the evaporation, and this retains the moisture of the soil and decrease the need of the water.The technique of the mulching blocks the light and it is beneficial to reduce the use of the herbicides.

The mulching regulates the temperature of the soil and it is also beneficial to promote the healthy growth of the root.The mulching holds the soil in its place and in this way it is helpful to reduce the process of the erosion of the soil.
