Animal Activities #49
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "Animal Activities" as part of my participation in this contest organized by @xkool24
In the quiet village of Akpata, where mornings smelled of wood smoke, and red dust clung to a Klee, there lived a small brown goat named Tom. Tom was not remarkable in strength or size, nor did he have the grand horns of elder rams and goats in the village. What made Tom different from others was something no one noticed at first he listened carefully.
While other goats fed on grass without a thought, Tom listened to the wind sliding through banana leaves, to stones warming under the sun, nd most of all to the rain. Rain spoke in several voices: sometimes it laughed, sometimes it cried so hard the earth opened its arms to receive it and sometimes it whispered.
Tom belonged to an old farmer named Bamidele, a man whose hands were cracked like dry riverbeds. Bamidele often talked to his animals, not because he expected answers from them, but because of loneliness. Tom listened to him too. From Bamidele, he learned the sound of worry each time he talked to his animals.
For one year, the rain didn't come.
The sky turned pale and distant, like a friend who had stopped visiting. Crops in the village shriveled. The rubber shrank into a thin, embarrassed line. The villagers argued with the sky, then with one another. Bamidele stopped singing while he worked.
Tom heard the earth groan at night.
Driven by a restlessness he did not understand, Tom wandered beyond the familiar paths one evening. He climbed a rocky hill where the wind spoke freely. There, beneath a lonely baobab tree, the rain finally answered him not as falling water, but as a memory.
The rain said, "You have listened, and it's only a few that do".
Tom speaks with attention and not with words, and the rain understands him. It told him a secret: rain follows remembrance. When the land is forgotten, the clouds forget it too, and the next day, Tom began doing his strange work.

🎉 Congratulations!
