Farm management is defined as the act of planning and organising the farm. It involves making big decisions that are going to make the farming system successful. Those who are in charge of the farm are called the farm manager, they are like the brain of the farm, and they must have the skills of farm management in order to be able to oversee all the day-to-day activities on the farm, such as managing the animals and crops and making sure all records are accurate and genuine.

Good farm management helps farmers to be able to manage their equipment and resources properly, reduce waste, handle challenges, solve problems and be able to motivate workers as well. If anything goes wrong on the farm, that means there is no proper good management.

Farm management is very important because without proper farm management, a lot of things could go wrong.

1. Having good management can make the day-to-day activities on the farm easier.
2. Incorporating good management can help point out errors and mistakes and get solutions to them quickly.
3. There won't be space for unnecessary waste in terms of resources.
4. Practising proper farm management can bring progress and good results, which will later turn into an increase in profit and growth.
5. Farm management also helps with decision-making; it helps in knowing what to do at the right time.

In conclusion, farm management is very compulsory for all farmers who want to be successful and be able to get better results in their farming system.
