Finally the first procedure of my okra cultivation is completed?

This past two weeks have been hectic because I have been working on my okra farm which I visited 4 times weekly.

I earlier shared the process on how the water in the soil is being eliminated so the soil could be fit for cultivation, it took days before the water drained out, after the water had drained to a certain level I arranged some workers to start working on the farm.

This type of grass that can comfortably survive on water can be very challenging to clear it requires tactics and great effort of two individuals to be able to carry out the clearing easily and successfully.

The clearing part took four days to be accomplished, two days after the grass was cleared I visited the farm to turn the grass so the undried part can face the sun so it can be burned.

During the clearing phase some part of the soil was still covered by water but it wasn't a thing to worry about as the clearing exposed the soil to the sun which helped it dry within a couple of days.

After four days the grass was burnt some of them that wasn't dried enough to be burned to stack at the boundary while some were scattered on the farmland to become extra manure.

Planting took just a day to be accomplished because I hired enough workers to do the planting, planting a big farm is a secret to a successful harvest as the all bloom at once which results to bountiful harvest.

In my okra farm I planted 3 type of crops

• okra
• cucumbers
• maize

The cucumbers were mixed with the okra while I personally planted the maize all round my entire farm boundary to avoid future mistaken trespass.

Incase you owned a farm that has similar grass grown on it and you intend to clear it off the video below can be of help on how two people can easily work together making the work faster.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
