I use Ginger to cure my cold

But be careful using it though, it has a strong taste. I think it's best to grate it into very small pieces so you don't mistakenly bite into a large chunk when you're eating rice. It's good to always have some in the house so you don't have to search for it when you're cooking or you get a cold.
