It's amazing how God forgives us, yet we hardly forgive one another. If there is one thing that stands out in the Christian faith, it is God's willingness to forgive. No matter how many times we make mistakes, God is always ready to receive us when we genuinely repent. His mercy is greater than our failures, and His love never runs out. When we think about how much God has forgiven us, it is amazing that we sometimes find it so difficult to forgive those who have hurt us.

The truth is that forgiving someone is not always easy. Some wounds go deep, and the pain can stay with us for a long time. When someone betrays our trust, speaks badly about us, or treats us unfairly, our first reaction is often to hold on to the hurt. We may feel that forgiving them means pretending nothing happened. But forgiveness is not about saying the offence was acceptable. It is about choosing not to let anger and bitterness control our hearts.

Jesus made it clear that forgiveness should be a part of our daily lives. In Matthew 6:14–15, He said that if we forgive others when they sin against us, our Heavenly Father will also forgive us. This reminds us that the forgiveness we receive from God should be reflected in how we treat others.

The Bible also teaches us in Ephesians 4:31–32 to put away bitterness, anger, and malice and to be kind and compassionate, forgiving one another just as God forgave us through Christ. This is a powerful reminder that our example is not the world but God Himself.

Another beautiful passage is Colossians 3:13, which says, "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." These words encourage us to extend the same grace we have freely received.
Forgiveness does not mean you must continue to allow people to hurt you. Sometimes wisdom requires setting healthy boundaries.

Nothing is worth stealing our peace and joy, the heart should always be free to receive and hear from the Holy spirit.
