Greetings to you all. Today I want to share with you all some benefits of mango. Since this is a mango season in my country and I've been buying and plucking a lot of them recently, I decided to do a little research on its benefits. I found out some interesting and educative benefits, and I'm glad to share them here with you today.

The fruits

Mango is popularly known as the “king of fruits"; it comes from the tree called Mangifera indica. Mango is rich in vitamin C, which helps boost the immune system and keeps the body strong. It also contains vitamin A, which is very good for the eyes for clear visions, especially for students always reading and using phones. Mango helps with digestion too; it has natural enzymes that make food easier to break down, and it makes the stomach feel better after eating. Another sweet benefit of mango is that it helps to keep the skin fresh and glowing because of its antioxidants. And it gives energy to the body.

The Leafs

Now some people may know the benefits of the fruits but may not know that the mango leaves and stems also had their functions as well, and honestly, I didn't know all this until I made my research. This is when I found out that mango leaves are very useful, especially in natural medicine. They are known to help control blood sugar levels, making them helpful for people managing diabetes. Some people boil the leaves and drink their water. The leaves also help with respiratory issues like cough or asthma, and they give good oral health. In some places, people chew the tender leaves to help keep the mouth clean and healthy.

The stems

For the mango stem (bark), it has strong medicinal value too. It is known for helping with diarrhea and stomach problems when prepared properly. The stem also has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce swelling or irritation in the body.

It can also be used traditionally for wound healing, because it helps fight infections. I remember when I was younger I used to witness my father using the stem; he would scrape the stems of the tree, hammer the stems into tiny pieces, and boil them in a pot of water for minutes until they were hot. When the medicine is hot, he will filter the water into a cup to drink it or to use it as an enema. But I didn't know the reason for it, and I didn't bother asking since I was just a child and didn't care much, but after my research, I know the reason for his actions.

For me this is more than just a mango tree. It’s a reminder that everything we need is already around us. From the fruit to the leaves and even the stem, I can't find anything unuseful in it. All of them have unique and special benefits from inside and outside the body. So anytime you see a mango tree, don’t just look at the fruit; look at its whole body because everything that comes with it is a blessing to us all.

Thank you for your valuable time.
