The stubborn Goat

It's was a sunny weekend in the animal Kingdom of Zamzizi. Zamzizi was a kingdom known for strength and great harvest. The animals who lived there were not found lazing around.
Fela the skillful goat sat down under the tree wondering how he would go to the farm the following week. He just found out that he is suffering from an illness, although not unto death.
Fela's best friend walked up to him, seeing how worried fela was looking, she knew something was wrong and so she asked.
"Odogwu are you ok? This one you are looking like a lost goat?".
With a fainted smile Fela the Goat replied "I am not doing so fine, I just found out I have an illness".
Fela's friend quickly sat close to her best friend, with great concern in her eyes. She asked what type of illness he was suffering from and she was told that it's a disease that has no cure but can only be managed or a surgery done to handle it.
Fela told his best friend that the farming season is here and I must go to the farm to make some plantations, how will I achieve it if am sick?
Farming was the predominant job found in the land of Zamzizi.
Fela' friend told him not to worry that they were going to visit a specialist to be sure of how to handle the illness. Relief and hope came again as Fela heard those words from his friend.
After two market days fela's friend visited again and insisted it was time to go see the specialist. As they arrived at the specialist, Fela was surprised to find out the specialist was the tortoise.

Tortoise the specialist welcomed them and as they narrated the reason they came, the tortoise told them that it's true there is no cure, but it can effectively be managed to the minimum.
He told them he wasn't going to give them any herbs as medication. He said he would only tell them some things to avoid and some things to start doing and everything will be fine.
He told the Goat to avoid eating certain kinds of food especially the pawpaw leaves. The countenance of the goat changed because he knew he loved eating pawpaw leaves.
As they left, on their way, Fela's friend reminded Fela again about what the the tortoise has said. Fela said no problem that he would do it because he was to be fine for the farming season.
Fela kept to the rules given by tortoise the specialist just for a while, he felt he has recovered because there were some signs that was no longer there. So he went back to his old ways eating pawpaw leaves again.
His friend visited him one day and saw him that afternoon eating pawpaw leaves, she got really worried for him, rebuked him asking him to stop, he refused. He said how can he live all his life not eating pawpaw leaves? Those who eat pawpaw leaves do they have two heads?
She decided to always check in on her friend just to make sure he wasn't eating that leaf, to her greatest surprise, Fela the goat would go as far as hiding to eat the leaves so that his friend won't see him.
Suddenly, his illness came again and became worse, that was when he confessed to his friend that he has been stubborn and disobedient. It was already late because Fela the goat died after his confession.

Wow! Your story is very interesting and educative too. You are indeed a good story writer ma'am. I feel so sorry for the stubborn goat who did not listen to the advice of the tortoise and her friend and there was no time for him to learn from his mistakes. I've learned in your story that we should not take advice for granted because at the end we may not have the chance to correct our mistakes. Good job ma'am, Keep soaring.
