Importance of marketing in agriculture

Agriculture is the basis of economy of any country. The farmers work day and night to produce grains, vegetables and fruits. Well the production alone is not enough. The real success lies in marketing this produce properly. This process is called Agricultural Marketing.

Agricultural marketing refers to the entire process. In this agricultural commodities are transported from the farm to the consumer. This includes cleaning, packing, storage, transportation and sales.

Agricultural marketing is very important for both the farmer and the consumer:

Farmers get fair compensation for their labor

Commodities are saved from wastage

Fresh and quality food is available in the market

Today's technology has greatly improved agricultural marketing. Now the farmer:

Can check prices through mobile apps

You can sell your products in the online market

Can use cold storage and modern packaging

Agricultural marketing is very important to the success of any country's food economy. If the farmer is given access to the right market and provided with modern facilities, not only his income will increase but the country will also develop.
