Agricultural Activity : Reducing Competition on Cultivated Plants
Cover
Sunday's morning greetings to you all Steemians.
Hope is being suitable as I thought to forward my agricultural activity during the week , through write up.
Though am doing it under subsistence basis , truth remains an agricultural activity is rather view to be tedious or fun. Indeed most of the agricultural activities are very tedious , but you won't have to view them that way because of their edible yields afterward .
Here am now alone in our compound so I have to keep maintaining some certain cultivating culture , relating them to my own taste and terms.
In some other blog post write up I will see on how to bring them up together either in a single post write up or on a two post write up in array.
During the week I have been foremostly looking forward to reduce competition against my cassava plants that's within my mini cassava garden. And it only taken me couple of hours to handled them , it was even taken that long because I don't usually use weeding hoe i rather make use of machete , or my hands to uproots the unwanted weeds.

image collage simulated on app with my garden view images.
Since the garden portion for this particular cassava garden is not that big , rather small . I have to keep it smooth by uprooted those unwanted weeds with my hands.
And gathered those weeds altogether at one place. Pending , once they get well dried and probably decompose I spread them back within the cassava garden , for them to add up nutrients to the soil and keep the cassava healthy and well developed; and to bring forth good expected yields upon harvest.
Aside those unwanted weeds even cassava themselves they also compete relatively among themselves , both for space , nutrients , sunlight and moisture from the topsoil as long as their roots can reach. So , weeded up and uprooted all weeds would simultaneously reduced an unnecessary competition between weeds and cultivated plants.
Same thing here , once you left the weeds to get over grown . Then , the competition would get high and those plants won't grow and yields very well .
Most times , on the face of an erosion along serious high winds. Those tall plantains are bound to fall , and along that might get to affect others ones as well.
So , here I usually cleared those weeds with spade and gathered those weeds and create a mulching on them to build them up and make them stay strong as against erosion and lost of moisture during dry season.
