Basic Knowledge in Agriculture 72

The term Fallow is not very well known and only if a person was very attentive during the geography and botanic he probably heard that word. As to me I did not hear that before but when watched a documentary about the plants and agriculture I found that new word. I actually was surprised to see the big field that there were no nothing planted and it was just wild field plants and flowers. It was left for couple of years by the farmer and in the documentary they told that it is specially done that the area where farmers normally plant crops they may leave for couple of years without any work done and there are wild plant and just any animals taking the place.
It is commonly used specially for the soil to recover from previous harvest and also to gain more nutrients, minerals and also the new life like insects, animals and also different field plants. Therefore, for the period of time of one year or few they are just left for its own. In Europe government also supports Fallow so farmers will not loose they profit if they do not grow anything, they will get paid by state.
To leave the land for Fallow it will also help the wild life to recover not only the animal but also birds. Some of the farmers prefer to leave the land for fallow and to use the field for solar panels and also for wind mills. I remember some of the farmers when getting older and if their children are grown up and moved away and parents have no energy for heavy work on land they use it for renting the place for such new energy source, that is also often paid from government and good for both parties.
