When I read “Soil” for me it associates with black-brown like chocolate coloured soil that considered to be rich in nutrient for anything we would like to grow including crops, vegetables, fruits, trees and plants but also flowers.
In order to have good harvest of what we have planted we need to have good soil and that is a reason why farmers work on and for their land almost all the time. The fields often used one year and farmers give some rest and another year. There are of course, different types of fertiliser user some of them chemically mixed with balanced minerals but often and especially nowadays organic on natural basis. We all want to have healthy food and do not harm our own health.
- Fish as fertiliser

I tell you a story with my grandfather, who loves his garden, it is not very big but I think it is good because working in garden is also not very light job for people who are elderly and still would like to enjoy what they do and who wants to see the fruits of their work.
I remember when I was a child and was visiting my grandparents before Easter holiday and it was nice and warm, my grandfather was in garden and I went to help. He had a corner in his garden that he worked last couple of days, the earth and soil there was looking freshly dug through, it was free of any weed. When I asked my grandfather what he is going to do, he said to plant tomatoes. There were some tomato plants in buckets but also a bucket with small fishes that he said he caught couple of days ago. I was puzzled what he is going to do with fish, we did not have a pond and fishes were already dead.
My grandfather dug 18 holes for our 18 tomato plants put a fish in every whole covered with fresh soil and then places tomato plants covering the roots carefully with soil. We then watered the plants and my grandfather told me that fish is very good natural fertiliser.
When I came to visit my grandfather in summer couple of months later I went to check on tomato plants, they all grown nicely and carry big tomatoes some of them were red and of course, I picked up one and tasted, I must say that tomato had a taste of slightly sweet tomato and the skin was thin, not like when you buy in supermarket. I was fascinated how well they grow. My grandfather enjoyed seeing my face. He told me that it is important to have good soil and natural fertiliser if we want good healthy harvest. That is a lesson that I learned from him.
I am inviting following users for contest: @rumanaafroz, @monz122, @uzma4882
