Pick and Write [Agricultural Word]#17: Flood

Since there is a rapid development of the industry and technology, we all hear climate issues, global warming and also greenhouse effect. Actually just in last century we also heard such things but we never thought that this is in near future. It is the same like when we think 10-20 years it sounds in very far future. Unfortunately now we hear more and more the consequences of global warming, summer becoming hotter and hotter. We see that last couple of years the temperature in Europe is going up, in south of Europe it is between 45-50C that is why it is not allowed to use swimming pool and fountains.
Also it is more frequently we see strong and heavy rains over few days. It is also unusual for Europe to see so much water coming from sky. It is difficult not only for people living in cities but also for farmers it is disaster because then if it is flood that means the whole plants that were planted will be drown and wash out. I remember that these kind of years, the areas that were washed out, people lost their homes, some of them were not able to get any valuable stuff from home but only some documents if they could. Usually flooding is very quick and often people have warning by weather forecast but as it is often we usually do not trust and sometimes we do not prepare ourselves.
In our region luckily we did not have much rain and there is not rivers close by so that we did not have much trouble with it, but not so far there were some places that suffered more than our area.
Recently it is happening almost every year but with the experience of last few years, people now better prepare themselves for such time. On other hand nobody can prepare themselves for such disaster like flooding.
