Bijoy Sarani is a notable place among the busiest and most vibrant centers of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. This area is deeply connected with the history and culture of the country. A few days ago, I had the opportunity to visit Bijoy Sarani Metrorail Station. This trip was a completely new and different experience for me. The modern infrastructure, clean environment and orderly management really impressed me. This metrorail station, which was launched in 2022, has opened a new horizon in Dhaka's communication system. I left my house in the late afternoon and reached Bijoy Sarani Metro Station via Uttara North Metro Station for my personal work. I already knew that Dhaka Metro Rail is now playing an important role in reducing traffic congestion in the city. So to avoid the traffic jam, I took the Metro Rail to Bijoy Sarani Station. Before reaching the station, I saw many people around, some going to work, some just walking around. The Metro Rail runs from Uttara North in the capital Dhaka to Motijheel. Every day, countless people travel by Metro Rail to avoid traffic congestion. I am no exception.

As soon as I entered the entrance of the station, its modern architecture really impressed me.Bijoy Sarani Metrorail Station has three convenient systems for boarding: Escalators, Lift and wide common stairs. As a result, passengers of all ages can easily board the station. The entire environment feels very organized, clean and passenger friendly. The security system is also quite strict and well-organized here. While entering through the gate, my luggage was checked and I had to go through a scanner. I also had to leave the water bottle in my hand, because it is prohibited to enter the metro with water, sharp objects or any dangerous objects. This clearly shows that the safety of passengers is given utmost importance. Also, the entire station is being monitored through CCTV cameras, which has further strengthened the security system. All in all, this station is really commendable in terms of modern facilities and security.

As soon as I entered the station, I noticed a huge crowd, because everyone had to collect their tickets first before entering the main platform. Therefore, there were long queues of passengers at the ticket counters of Bijoy Sarani Metrorail Station. However, in my case, I did not need to buy a ticket, because I had already made a travel card, which everyone knows as Rapid Pass. Using this card, one can easily enter the metrorail. The most convenient thing is that it can be easily recharged through the Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) booth or the bKash app, which is quite time saving for passengers. There are also sufficient facilities for those who do not use cards. There are multiple booths to buy tickets directly at the counter, as well as tickets can be collected from online or automated booths. Overall, the ticketing system seemed quite modern and user friendly.

Then I took the lift up. When I reached the platform of Bijoy Sarani Metrorail Station, I saw that the place was quite spacious and beautifully designed. The train schedule was being displayed on digital display boards all around, so it was easy for the passengers to understand when the train would arrive. Within a short while, the announcement of the train's arrival was heard. The huge platform of the station made the movement of the passengers comfortable. There are specific arrangements for seating here, as well as toilet facilities, which are very helpful for the passengers. Usually, trains arrive at the station every 10 minutes, but this schedule can vary slightly depending on the peak and off-peak hours. There is also a large analog clock on the platform, which not only serves to tell the time, but also adds to the beauty of the station.

I arrived at the platform and waited for a while before the train arrived. I quickly boarded the train because there was probably a 30 Second break at each station. As the train started moving, I looked out the window and enjoyed the view of the city. Being at a higher altitude, the entire city looked different. Although there were fewer traffic jams and cars, we were moving very quickly. Another good thing about the Metrorail is its punctuality. The trains come and go at a specific time, which is very important in a busy city, especially for office workers.
