The Chittagong Eye Infirmary and Training Complex is a dedicated eye-care service institution in Chittagong that provides comprehensive specialized treatments for all eye-related issues. At the same time, medical students receive specialist ophthalmology training here. The facility offers both indoor and outdoor services to manage various eye conditions.

It is located in the Foy's Lake area, right next to the Apollo Imperial Hospital, under the Akbarshah Thana of Chittagong. Since it is an eye-specific complex, 24-hour emergency services are available. However, for outdoor consultations, there is a specific timeframe; patients are seen only from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

What attract me as most extraordinary was the environment of this infirmary complex and the interior decoration of the building. Usually, we visit private hospitals and clinics for fast-track medical services, where each service is highly advanced but relatively expensive and costly.

But the indoor environment of this building is absolutely clean and high-class. The main complex is a 4-story building structured with a beautiful red-brick exterior design. Even from the outside, the surroundings looked incredibly wonderful. This was my first time visiting, and I truly appreciated the neat and clean atmosphere.

Coming to the medical services, they exclusively offer solutions and treatments for all kinds of eye problems. Apart from this, no other specific illnesses are treated here. Any major eye surgery can be done here at a limited and affordable cost.

The outdoor doctor consultation schedule is from Sunday to Thursday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. On Fridays, doctors can be seen until 12:00 PM, while the outdoor visit remains closed on Saturdays. Because it focuses specifically on eye issues, the outdoors do not look heavily crowded.

Modern facilities have been arranged for all patients. Those who want to see a doctor for eye treatments need to go directly to their desired department first, such as Surgical Retina, Pediatric Ophthalmology, or Oculoplasty.

Every department features its own reception desk, where you can get a serial ticket for professional doctors. For outdoor consultations, two types of tickets are available: an Exclusive service, where you get to see a doctor through a regular serial, and an Express service for faster consultations.

There is a wonderful seating arrangement for patients to wait. I noticed that many chairs are placed in the waiting room of each department so that patients do not face any discomfort, even if they have to wait for a while. The chairs are very comfortable and nice.

Since the entire complex is central air-conditioned, the hot weather should not cause any discomfort. What surprised me the most was the cleanliness, which was absolutely spotless. Although it does not have an overwhelming rush of patients like other private hospitals, there is no compromise whatsoever in the quality of service.

Beyond the medical care, the building's layout is quite beautiful. The corridor linking the indoor and outdoor sections looks so stunning and attractive that it feels like walking through a museum. One side of the corridor features glass windows through which everything outside is visible.

On the other side of the corridor wall, there are some cinematic paintings. Looking closely, it is evident that these are no ordinary paintings; such art is only possible through professional painters. This particular section makes it look less like a hospital and more like an art exhibition because it feels so beautiful.

All kinds of security and safety measures have been implemented in the hospital. The entire building is monitored by CCTV cameras, and the staff members are highly helpful, assisting patients with any information they need.

Dustbins are placed at regular intervals in every corner to dispose of waste. The hospital maintains a clean environment that anyone would appreciate. Additionally, fire extinguishing systems are in place for safety.

For patients visiting from faraway places, a massive parking facility is available outside the building. The parking lot features modern marking systems to keep vehicles properly organized.

This was my first visit to the Chittagong Eye Infirmary and Training Complex, and I can confidently say it is the absolute best for eye treatment. While exploring the surrounding area outside the institute building, I noticed it was beautifully adorned with trees and flower gardens.

I observed this eco-friendly approach both inside and outside the hospital. Furthermore, because the patient traffic is low, there is no hassle to deal with. For anyone looking to consult a doctor for eye problems, I can wholeheartedly suggest this eye infirmary institute in Chittagong.
