Proshanti Cafeteria is a food and café shop that is a perfect place for classy people to enjoy their food. Primarily a smaller number of people visit this place because it is located inside a hospital, though the management is entirely separate. Perhaps because of the lower visitor traffic, its environment and beauty were quite wonderful.

This cafeteria is located on the ground floor of the Chittagong Eye Infirmary and Training Complex, next to Apollo Hospital on Foy's Lake Road, Chattogram. Although it was mainly set up for the patients and guests coming to the hospital, outsiders can also visit if they wish; there are no restrictions whatsoever, and it remains open every day.

The interior of the cafeteria is quite clean and beautiful. Due to the white-colored wall paint, the food shop felt very spacious. Although it is quite long in length and a bit narrow in width, there is plenty of space inside for customers to enjoy their food.

The ceiling lighting is very similar to the square-shaped lights found in hospital rooms. As it was quite bright and white, it gave a very peaceful vibe. Inside, a separate corner has been set up right in front of the food counter for doctors and special hospital staff.

Since a large crowd of customers is rarely seen here, the seating has been arranged accordingly. However, in these types of cafeterias, the interior decoration matters a lot because visitors spend time here sipping coffee. The seating arrangements were quite beautiful, made entirely of stainless steel, and very comfortable. There was separate seating for groups of two and four people.

To order food, customers have to go directly to the food counter where the food is displayed. The food variety here is slightly different. Even though it is a cafeteria, several other food items are available besides coffee.

However, when ordering, you have to pay the bill upfront before they serve the food. Perhaps this rule is in place because it is a hospital cafeteria. They offer a variety of items including shingara, somosa, cold drinks, chips, burgers, tea, and more.

I ordered sweet curd for myself and a juice for a family member. Naturally, I paid the bill at the time of ordering and was given a payment receipt. I then fetched my order from the food area myself.

I tasted the curd, and it was authentic. Honestly, there are many types of curd in the market now that are not made following the real recipe, resulting in a compromised taste. However, I found the curd at Proshanti Cafeteria to be very delicious and authentic in taste.

The air conditioning system was running inside, so there was no lack of comfort. The washroom is located just a little further ahead. I noticed it while going to order food, and it was quite clean and equipped with all modern facilities.

Overall, I really liked the food, environment, and quality of Proshanti Cafeteria. I sat there very comfortably and enjoyed my food; there was no crowd or chaos, just a perfectly peaceful environment. Therefore, it is a highly suitable place for outside visitors to drop by and enjoy a cup of coffee.
