Renew your mind, you are no longer slaves

Leviticus 26: 13 (NIV)

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.

I am so happy to have finally made my first #steemchurch blog after many days having declared my membership to this church on steem blockchain.

In the passage above, God himself was speaking to his people - Israel, I suppose to reassure them of His resolve to keep and sustain them.

Sometimes, there is need for the reassurance of a promise to the people we gave our word to strengthen and encourage them.

It seem to me that at the time of receiving that word, the Israelites could have been through a seasons of doubt which was evidenced in their actions and probably, not heeding to the Divine instructions of God.

On the other hand, I see a message to fearful hearts who may be on meeting challenging situation would try to mummur against God with a dreadful heart due to tje challenge.

I see God reminding them of Hid powerful hand that delivered them out of the bondage of the Egyptians and giving them freedom.

I can see God telling thw people, "there os no need to be fearful, you are no more in chains". God reminded them of how he broke the bars and set them free to walk head up.

Many people who have been delivered from bondage seem to be sitting with their chains, though not on their hands. They had been so accustomed to the place of slavery that they cannot walk out even when their freedom has been granted.

To everyone reading this piece, God had paid the price of our freedom on the Cross. We need to renew our minds in what he did and walk out of our chains.

No more chains holding us. It's time foe our freedom.

Let's be conscious that we are no longer Slaves.
