The Body is a Temple of the Lord
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? 1 Corinthians 6:19
The presence of God is found fully in the catholic cathedral, the Methodist chapel and the rural church. All of these temples are built to laud, glorify and honor God. In the same vain, the holy spirit resides in our bodies however some individuals refuse to honor their bodies as the temple of God, forgetting that the holy spirit is also at church hence if the chapel is a temple of God so is our bodies.
God created everything to be perfect, your body is exquisite and perfect, it glorifies God as his creation. Take a second to admire the wondrous nature of the human body, how each individual is has his own idiosyncrasies, how one thumbprint is different from one another and of all the millions of people in the globe no two people ever possess the same print. Have you not ever wondered how every single part of the body was position just so perfectly to perform its duty accordingly? Even the wonder of aches and pains is an amazement.
God created you to be you, in your looks, in your speech, your voice recognition, in everything that is peculiar to you even your imperfections. Your body is sacred. Treat it is as you would treat temple of the Lord for indeed it is the temple of the Lord and deserves to be treated as such. Whatever you use the body for and use any part of the body to do should be to Glory of The Lord Most High. Ask yourself, will this be pleasing to the Lord? Rest in that thought.
