Faithfulness of God
“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?
God's spoken word is authentic and a reality. it is truth and life that cannot be erased. It is not something to toil with because it gives understanding, power, knowledge and wisdom to the hearer or reader. God's word cannot return to Him void or unaccomplished. We can bear witness to this truth except for those whom the devil has blindfolded to see this light (2 Cor. 4:4]. As a child of God, you must cleave to this truth. Without the word in one's life, you cannot claim to love God. This is because loving God means doing His will in His word.
ln trusting God's word, a believer must do the will of God. This is one of God's commands. Doing His will is all about obeying His commandment. The level of man's trust in God shows how much he has understanding of who God is. In other words, trusting God means to have a clear understanding of His sovereignty, power and glory over man and the earth in general. A man who does not know where He is coming from might not know where He is going. Hence, without knowing God, you cannot put your trust in Him.
2 Corinthians 4:4
"in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them."
Trusting in God's word, which is trusting God Himself, also has to do with belief. That is, if you say you trust in any thing, it means you have belief and value for that thing. Thus, to have trust in God's word means that you must first have belief, value and faith for the word in order to put trust and possibly your whole being on it. For so many reasons, which will be later seen, it is of great importance for man to put trust in the word of God.
The faithfulness of God is true and has been proven many times. In the Holy Scriptures, we can see that God is faithful and His Word is true. Hebrews 6:18 says God cannot lie, nor can He break an unconditional promise that He says He will fulfill. Every covenant He made is kept. We can definitely trust in him. Nice writeup.
