SPIRITUAL WARFARE: PART 1

in #steemchurch6 years ago

As Christains we are constantly in a spiritual warfare, though the battle is of the lord's but we are the soldiers in the battlefield.

2 Timothy 2:3-4
Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer.

The entire Bible is brimming with scriptures about foes and battles. We should recollect that it is really spiritual warfare that we are occupied with. We are battling against

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Ephesians 6:12

This implies regardless of how dark this world gets, regardless of how bound to sin and unrighteousness the spirit of the world is, we are called to battle hard the other way. We are battling for purity, for righteousness, for the desire of God amidst a nonchalant and unreasonable generation.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Philippians 2:15
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

It is a life of activity that every single Christian is intended to live. We must demonstrate that God's will is flawless. We ought to be on the bleeding edge in the fight against Satan and the hosts of evil, who wish to have full authority over the world. We are to be the obstruction that prevents them from achieving their goal

It is written in John 10:10 that,

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to in abundance."

The theif that Jesus is talking about here is Satan. In any case, at that point Jesus says that He has come to get us life in full! Life in abundance is the thing that we get when we fight against this foe. When we see our own temptations as a fight against the powers of darkness that desire to administer this world, at that point we understand why the Bible talks so firmly about triumph, and surviving, and being a soldier. One blow against sin in our very own lives is a blow against evil on earth. The fight is about something beyond our own lives.

We're not simply fighting for ourselves. We're fighting to assemble the collection of Christ

Romans 12:5
so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

We fight for one another, to fortify and support each other.

1 Timothy 4:16
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Then God can utilize us as an instrument of honorable, a guide to everybody who meets us.

Romans 6:12
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.

We can turn into an aroma of life prompting life.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16
For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?

We're in a fight in this world. We may not see it, we may overlook it's there. However, the enemy would love to fill our brains with demoralization and defeat. If you're a believer who is living like salt and light in a dim world, you won't go for long without experiencing hindrances and assaults he will throw your way. Also, however we can't stop his pitiless assaults, we don't need to give him a chance to win. God reminds us in His word to remain mindful of Satan's plans, to live cautious in this world, and to remain nearby to Him.

God gives specific instructions in his Word, he gives every one of us we are to remain steadfast in this life. However, frequently we race through the day occupied, not well prepared, ill-equipped, or just not mindful of what we're facing, or who the genuine enemy even is.

The powers of darkness don't sit tight for us to be prepared for their assault. They're merciless, decided, and deceitful. The devil couldn't mind less if we "feel" organized or prayed for our day. Truth be told, he prefers we're are not.

In any case, in a broken, dim world, by what means can we truly know if we're confronting the normal difficulties of life when compared with the assaults of the enemy? Jesus Himself disclosed to us that in this life we would encounter inconveniences

John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

we realize that this generally is valid. What's more, however, we may not know who or what is behind the battles, we can be guaranteed that God prepares us for the fight to come and He teaches us to live caution.

Spiritual warfare isn't giving the devil more consideration or focusing a lot on his evil ways. Scriptural warfare is making ourselves progressively mindful to what God is doing and making sure to stand firm and let Him fight our fiercest battles. There's capacity through His Spirit, His word, and in prayers, and we can be certain that He is dependably with us, driving our direction and covering us from behind.
