SPIRITUAL WARFARE: PART 3
Goodmorning and happy Monday fellas!! If you have been following my previous posts, I have been on the topic of spiritual warfare, the first part explained what spiritual warfare is all about and case studies in the Bible. The second part I talked about different ways in which we face spiritual battles.
In this last part, I will be talking about ways to defend ourselves in a spiritual warfare
God arms us with the sword, the Word of God, to fight against the enemy's untruths. He blesses us with quality, wisdom, through His own Spirit to remain solid in the fight. He welcomes us to spend time in His Presence, through prayers and love, pressing in to know Him more.
As we develop to know God's Truth to an ever increasing extent, understanding what is genuine, we also begin to realize more what is false. We're ready to rapidly observe when something's wrong. We are more stronger to battle against it in the name of Jesus. He never abandons us to fight for ourselves in this dark world, yet reminds us He is always with us, battling for us, notwithstanding when we can't see.
Here's 7 things He offers us to stand firm against attack:
The gift of the Holy Spirit
God fills us with quality and wisdom through His own Spirit to remain solid in the fight. He never abandons us to battle for ourselves and battle in our very own quality. We need His filling each day, we need the strengthening that no one but He can offer. Each believer has the gift of God's Spirit abiding inside them. A similar power that raised Lazarus from the dead, separated the ocean, broke open jail entryways, and made the weak walk, is the equivalent ground-breaking Spirit still alive and at work inside us today.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Acts 1:8
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans."
Romans 8:26
Armor of God
God reminds us not to go into the day without being prepared for the fight to come. He guides us to take up his full armor so as to remain against the enemy's plans. Each piece has a specific reason and is intended for our security and covering. Similarly as a warrior would not go to fight ill-equipped, we additionally ought to be completely prepared for the attacks we will confront.
"11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:."
Ephesians 6:11-17
Prayer
God welcomes us to have a connection with Him, He wants for us to invest energy in His quality, squeezing in to know Him more. He reminds us continually in His word of the significance of prayer and the power that is found there. He guides us to pray consistently notwithstanding when we don't have the slightest idea what to say, He reveals to us that the Spirit intervenes for us. He never abandons us to battle for ourselves in this dark world, yet advises us that He is always with us, battling for us, notwithstanding when we can't see.
"Furthermore, pray in the Spirit on all events, with a wide range of prayers and solicitations. Considering this, be alert and dependably continue praying for every one of the holy people And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."
Ephesians 6:18
" Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."
James 5:16
His Word
He arms us with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, to remain against the enemy's untruths. Praying God's words back to Him, is a ground-breaking weapon against the forces of malevolence. It is Truth going out into enemy region. It advises us that God knows our direction and comprehends what we face today. It manufactures our confidence and our trust in God. It protects our hearts and spotlights our brains back on Him.
"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.."
Hebrews 4:12
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,"
2 Timothy 3:16
Intensity of praise
Praise welcomes God's Presence. He stays near us when we praise Him. What's more, praise is an incredible weapon also. It influences the enemy to run. It pushes back the obscurity the encompasses, and obstructs the attacks and murmuring lies over us.Evil won't stick around if we're applauding our God, who will battle our battles for us. In the tale of Jehoshaphat, we see God marvelously rout the enemy, on account of the people's obedience to praise Him.
"As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.
2 Chronicles 20:22
"But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel."
Psalm 22:3
Obedience to Christ
Our ability to comply with the words and instructions of Christ in a world that would state to walk our own manner is important. It sets an incredible example that says we are eager to die for our very own wants than live for the purpose of God. In any case, it will never happen normally. Our very bone, our very own wants and sin nature will battle against it at all times. It's a day by day decision that says we will be watchful about each idea, we will take up our cross every day and pursue Christ's ways, not our own.
Submit to God's power. Be ruthlessly with sin, which is an open entryway for the enemy to work. Oppose him and he will flee.
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
James 4:7
"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ, "
2 Corinthians 10:5
The blood of Christ and the expression of our testimony
We are overcomers in this life since He has risen. Furthermore, our lives are covered up in Christ with God. No enemy can come against our spirits. When we have been sanctified by the blood of Christ and the intensity of His sacrifice by death on the Cross, we have another body in Him. We've been purchased with a value, we are not our own, yet secured by the absolution of Jesus. We live successful, and no devil or obscurity can ever isolate us from the love of God which is in Christ our Lord. There is Power in the Name of Jesus.
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death"
Revelation 12:11
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
1 Corinthians 1:18
When we have a place with Christ, the enemy never has the last word over our lives. We are secure in God's grasp.
Go ahead – bold and free – never be kept down by fear. The fight has a place with the Lord, and He has the last triumph!
Thank you for reading from the beginning part to the final part, may we be the winners in any warfare we battle! Amen!!
We are to put on the armor of God as described in Ephesians chapter 6 to stand against the devil.
Thank you for this wonderful message.
