THE SCIENCE OF LEADERSHIP; SESSION #1

Hello steemians, I would like to start a series of discussions on one of the most important topics in life. LEADERSHIP!. Everybody, as its said, is a leader because everybody leads someone or something. Even if you dont lead anyone, you will lead yourself into either greatness or nothingness. But a lot of people have very little knowledge on this subject as such I deem it of utmost importance to write about this all necessary topic based on well researched and applied facts. These facts, if applied, will bring a lot of positivechanges to our leadership techniques and style. Leadership is an Art and can therefore be learnt.

What Is Leadership?
I believe this is a good point to start from; Knowing what the word itself means.
Leadership can be quite difficult to define. This is because it means different things to different people. But generally, Leadership is the Art of leading a group of people, an organization or the ability to do this. According to the transformational leadership Model, leaders set direction and help themselves and others to do the right thing so as to move forward.

Who Depends on Leadership?
1. Every Nation depends on Leadership
_ For, behold, the Lord, the Lord of host, doth take away from Jerusalem amd from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, the mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet and the prudent, and the acient. The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor.......And I will give children to be their princes and babes shall rule over them......(Isaiah 3:1-7)_
In the Scripture above, God predicts a mighty judgement on two nations ,Jerusalem and Judah. God really wanted to punish them for disobedience. How was he going to do that? We see it clearly, By taking away leaders of the nation. Leadership and as such good leadership is crucial for the prosperity of every nation. A nation is as good as its leaders not the Natural resources it possesses.

2. The Church
O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and to destroy the way of thy path. (Isaiah 3:12).
When there is a lack of true leadership in the church, there will be a proliferation of sin and evil doers. Almost all the bad situations within the church can be attributed to lack of a good leader.

3. The Family
A family becomes rich or poor by the leadership abilities of its head. Which is, as its supposed to be, the father. Poor family conditions, dysfunctional homes resulting in wayward children are as a result of lack of good leadership in the family.

4. Yourself.
You are your own leader. In life everybody is suppose to make decisions and each decision taken will end up to be a good one or a poor one based on the outcome. Everybody, therefore, must learn this Art so as to make the right decisions.
