The narrow door and the wide door.
Hello family on this day I want to talk about a topic that many of us Christians call our attention, the Word of God speaks about the narrow door and the wide door many do not understand the meaning of these words.
Sometimes we lock ourselves into understanding.
is not easy to enter the narrow door, but anything is possible.
Jesus compares with the narrow door.
Matthew 7:13 NLT
Enter through the narrow door; for wide is the door, and the road that leads to perdition, and many are those who enter through it; In this verse we understand that Jesus is the narrow door that leads us to eternal life that he is all that brings us to salvation, when we make the decision to follow him, there is no other way because he is the way, the truth and the life.
John 14:6 NLT
6 Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father, but by me.
Jesus is the way to eternal life is in his coming, Christ, because it is the only way and few people will pass, many will seek another way of God and go with false doctrines imposed by man to facilitate the flesh, is completely feasible as much They seek their own complacency.
John 10:7-11 (RVR1960)
Jesus, The Good Shepherd
7 Jesus returned, then, to tell them: Verily, verily, I say unto you: I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that before me came, thieves are and robbers; But the sheep didn't hear them.
9 I am the door; for me to enter, he shall be saved; and he will enter, and come out, and find pastures.
10 The thief does not come but to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and that they may have it in abundance.
11 I am the Good Shepherd; The Good Shepherd his life gives for the sheep.
Though few will pass through the narrow door, and there shall be many by the wide doorway.
In Revelation:
Revelation 7:9-10 RVR1960
9 After this I looked, and here is a great multitude, which no one could tell of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, which stood before the throne, and in the presence of the lamb, dressed in white robes, and with palms in their hands; 10 and C They were cheering with a loud voice, saying, salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and the lamb. This vision was seen by the Apostle John in his vision in the book Revelation.
As already cleared it is not easy to enter through the narrow door, but Jesus made clear to his followers that they should strive, to achieve it, "striving" this Greek word translates into agonizomai, which means agonizing, which implies that everyone who He wants to enter through the narrow door must fight, persevere and stand firm as a warrior who fights to win and take the victory.
Luke 13:23-24 (RVR1960)
23 and someone said to him: Lord, are there few who are saved? And he said to them,
24 strive to enter through the narrow door; because I tell you that many will seek to enter, and they shall not.
But we have to be clear that no amount of effort saves us, it is by the grace of God that through the gift of faith is salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-9 (RVR1960)
8 for by Grace Ye are saved by faith; and this is not of you, for it is the gift of God;
9 not by works, that no one boast.
