Ephesians 2:6

’And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

As Christians, we were raised together with Jesus from the dead. It is one of the things Jesus meant when He said "it is finished". He made his life a substitutionary work for humanity. We all know the wages of sin is death and when man sinned against God, it was compulsory we die as the penalty for our sins.We fell from dignity to reproach and shame began to experience death because of our sins. We needed a substitute to die in his stead, or else he must die. Death in this context is separation from God and his Grace.

Man's substitute must be man because it was man that sinned, and it is man that must be punished for sin. But all have sinned and come short ofthe glory of God. There is none righteous, so who then will bear man’s sin amongst men and another sinner cannot hear the sin of man. The Word of God, who in the beginning was God, and by whom all things were made, came into the world and was incarnated, the Word was made flesh, and we call Him Jesus Christ-the righteous and holy Son of God. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, John 3:16

for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son; that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus came to reinstate us to dignity and honour.

When Jesus died on the Cross, it was our death that He died, seeing He is our Substitute; and when He was raised from death, it was our resurrection. The Bible tells us that God has raised us up together with Jesus Christ and made us sit together in heavenly places. We are seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above everything and every name that is mentioned in this world and in that which is to come. Therefore, everyone ih Christ has been given dominion in the Name of Jesus Christ. We exercise dominion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mark 16:17 tells us that we shall cast out devils in the Name of Jesus Christ, and we shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Beloved, you have been dignified in Christ. You are no longer in the low places of life. You are seated in heavenly place in Christ Jesus.

That's a rare privilege! Jesus had that privilege because of his good deeds. We can see quite a number of such deeds in the Bible regarding when Jesus was on earth. Let's do well to continue building a fine relationship with God.
