💔 Meeray: The DAO Funding Has Been Withdrawn — But Our Work Speaks for Itself
Hey Steemians 👋
After seeing some users like @happycapital express concern about the future of our proposal, we wanted to share an important — and honestly, disappointing — update about the Sidechain project.
As many of you know, the project was funded through the Steem DAO proposal system, with the goal of building a complete decentralized ecosystem on top of Steem — including a DEX, an NFT marketplace, a launchpad, and more.
Unfortunately, DAO funding has now been withdrawn, meaning the project is no longer being supported financially.
This decision likely follows our announcement about leaving the Steem blockchain, after witnessing how some top witnesses (such as @steemchiller), backed by large stakeholders like @rme, have chosen to manipulate and corrupt the chain — while neither other witnesses nor Steemit Inc. have stepped in to stop these behaviors.
The proposal had already missed two weeks of funding, and now it will be two more weeks lost.
Because of this, our team will deliver everything that’s already functional, but we won’t be continuing active development under the current conditions.
We’re disappointed — not only by the funding cut, but because we firmly believe the value of the work we’ve produced far exceeds what was ever requested. Still, we expected this kind of backlash.
🌐 What We Built — Fully Functional, Live on Testnet, and Public
Despite limited resources and intermittent funding, we successfully built a complete Steem sidechain infrastructure, along with a suite of real, working decentralized applications.
These are not mockups or promises — they’re live, functional products you can explore today (on the Steem testnet), and everything is technically ready for future deployment on the Steem mainnet.
🧠 Meeray Sidechain Explorer
The explorer is the window into the Meeray sidechain — just like Etherscan is for Ethereum.
You can browse every block, transaction, token, and account transparently.
Here’s a live example:
Everything you see there is running in a fully decentralized way, validated and stored across the network.
💱 Meeray DEX
A fully functional decentralized exchange, built from scratch.
It supports:
- Instant token swaps via AMM pools
- A Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) for pro traders
- Liquidity provision with fee rewards
- Smart routing for optimal trade execution
This DEX is not a concept — it’s live, working, and already integrated with the Meeray sidechain.
🎨 Meeray NFT Platform
A decentralized marketplace similar to OpenSea, where users can mint, list, buy, and sell NFTs directly on the sidechain.
While not yet fully finalized, most of the core features are built and functional. Minting and listing work; features like royalties and advanced auctions were still under active development before funding stopped.
🚀 Meeray Launchpad
The Launchpad was designed to let new projects raise funds directly on the sidechain, giving the Steem ecosystem a true decentralized fundraising tool.
The foundation — token creation, sale logic, and participation mechanics — is complete, but final testing and UI integration are now paused due to lack of continued support.
📘 Meeray Developer Documentation
We also began building a complete documentation portal detailing every HTTP endpoint and API route on the sidechain.
Developers can already use these docs to build their own dApps or services on top of Meeray.
🧩 What Powers All of This
GitHub: https://github.com/FutureShockco/echelon
At the core of everything lies the Meeray Sidechain — a full, independent blockchain that connects seamlessly to Steem.
It manages tokens, transactions, NFTs, and launchpad operations, all fully verifiable on-chain.
It even includes a notification system capable of informing users about transaction success or failure — even when interacting directly with Steem itself.
We didn’t just build front-end demos — we built the entire infrastructure from the ground up.
🕒 Why We’re Disappointed
The withdrawal of DAO funding came at a critical stage.
Meeray had already missed two weeks of payments, and with this interruption, it’s now four weeks without support.
Continuing development under these conditions is simply not sustainable — though we pushed as far as we could.
It’s frustrating because any professional company delivering an ecosystem of this scale — a sidechain, explorer, DEX, NFT marketplace, launchpad, and documentation — would easily have charged over $200,000 USD for equivalent work.
This isn’t a simple “AI-generated project” built by hobbyists; it’s a professional-grade ecosystem built with long-term technical vision.
We built all this for a fraction of that cost, with full transparency, open access, and a product that works.
💬 What Comes Next
Given the end of DAO funding, our focus now shifts to delivering and maintaining what’s already completed, ensuring all repositories and most features remain public, usable, and open to the community.
However, the NFT platform and Launchpad will remain in beta and will not receive further updates for now.
That’s unfortunate, especially since the Launchpad was meant to distribute the community airdrop over time.
To be clear — we’ve always said we might not release everything strictly on time, not out of inaction, but because we were building something truly big and complete.
Our goal was never to rush half-baked tools — it was to create a solid, lasting ecosystem.
But with the current situation, there’s no reason to keep building while the community has chosen not to support it.
Maybe the community prefers to fund scam-like or unrealistic projects that ignore Steem’s history — if so, that’s its decision. We respect it, even if we don’t agree.
🔮 About the Name “Meeray”
From now on, the Meeray name remains under FutureShock, the team that created, built, and delivered this project.
Since we originated the name and developed the ecosystem, we reserve the right to continue using “Meeray” for future projects.
If the Steem community wishes to continue the sidechain independently, we ask that it be done under a different name — not out of hostility, but out of respect for creative ownership and clarity.
❤️ A Final Word
We may have been late on some deadlines — but that’s because we aimed high.
We weren’t being overly optimistic; we were simply building something far bigger and more complete than expected.
Even though the funding has ended, we’re immensely proud of what’s been achieved.
Meeray stands as living proof that Steem can host a modern, decentralized, and fully functional DeFi ecosystem.
We encourage the community to explore what’s been built, learn from it, and even expand upon it.
Before the end of this year, all repositories will be made public, along with a detailed technical guide to help anyone launch a full network.
We’ll also publish a list of potential improvements for the sidechain and all its related applications.

How can you blame me for corrupting the chain ? I always support you, both of your witness & DAO. I never withdrawn my votes from your witness account & your DAO proposal. Your DAO proposal was not defunded by me.
A person who unnecessarily brings allegations against someone without any evidence never qualifies as a good person.
I have now removed all votes. I have no further interest in this nonsense project of yours.
