I think that will be great. At least, it is better to have an option to hide it in the user's setting (like the setting for nsfw) , I don't know whom from the steemdev team to contact about this suggestion, maybe @ned ?
I think people just raise an issue it github. Maybe timcliff is the man to check with :-)
