Bireuen Regent Appreciates Support from All Parties in Flood Disaster Response
The Bireuen Regency Government expresses its deepest appreciation and gratitude to all parties who have actively contributed to the response to the flash floods that struck several areas in Bireuen Regency.
Thanks to cross-sector support and synergy, the Bireuen Regency Government successfully navigated the initial, most challenging phase of disaster management, particularly in efforts to rescue victims and meet the basic needs of affected communities in evacuation centers.
Bireuen Regent, H. Mukhlis, ST, expressed special appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and all members of the Indonesian Cabinet for their full attention and support in handling the flood disaster in Bireuen Regency.
Furthermore, appreciation was also expressed to the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and all ranks of the National Police; the Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander, General Agus Subiyanto, and all TNI personnel; the Governor of Aceh, Muzakkir Manaf; the Bireuen Regency Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), community leaders, businesspeople, donors, humanitarian volunteers, the Regency Work Units (SKPK) within the Bireuen Regency Government; and all levels of society who have worked together to assist in disaster management.
"Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), we are very grateful for the extraordinary support and assistance from all parties, enabling Bireuen Regency to overcome this difficult challenge. On behalf of the Bireuen Regency Government, we express our deepest appreciation. We also offer our deepest condolences for the lives lost, and may the bereaved families be given strength," said the Bireuen Regent.
The Regent explained that the flood disaster has awakened the concern and humanitarian solidarity of various parties, resulting in the continued flow of aid to ease the burden on the affected community. The Bireuen Regency Government, he said, continues to take strategic and measured steps, from emergency response to preparation for the recovery phase.
"God willing, the Bireuen Regency Government will continue to work hard and sincerely to ensure that all impacts of this disaster can be optimally addressed and repaired, in accordance with the community's expectations," he added.
Furthermore, the Bireuen Regent emphasized that the Regional Government is always open to constructive criticism and input as evaluation materials to improve the quality of services and disaster management.
The Bireuen Regency Government encourages all elements of society to maintain togetherness, solidarity, and a spirit of mutual cooperation in facing and recovering from the post-disaster situation.
