Digital Art | Yeshak, a Stealthy and Dangerous Treasure Hunter 🗡
Good afternoon, my dearest #Steemit readers! Happy Tuesday—I hope you’re having a wonderful day. This is your friend Manuel here, and I’m really excited to bring you a new #steemexclusive digital illustration to share on my blog. This time, I wanted to step away from fan art and create an original character. My idea here was to illustrate a cunning bandit or mercenary who specializes in breaking into maximum-security locations where extremely valuable objects are kept, and who is willing to do whatever it takes to get her hands on them.
Muy buenas tardes mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de #Steemit, feliz martes y espero que estén teniendo un excelente día, Por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel, muy emocionado de traerles una nueva ilustración digital #steemexclusive para compartir en mi blog. En esta oportunidad, quise alejarme de los fan arts y crear un personaje original. Mi idea aquí fue ilustrar a una astuta bandida o mercenaria que se dedica a introducirse en lugares de máxima seguridad donde se guardan objetos de sumo valor, estando dispuesta a hacer lo que sea necesario con tal de apoderarse de ellos.
PROCESS / PROCESO
For the development of this piece, I chose a medium shot composition that highlights her confident and slightly mischievous expression. I wanted to capture her right in the middle of a heist. She wears a large, heavy hood and cloak in a vibrant magenta and purple tone, which partially shades her face and adds a mysterious aura. In her hand, she tightly grips a sharp, metallic dagger—her trusty tool for both silent takedowns and close defense.
Para el desarrollo de esta pieza, elegí una composición de plano medio que resalta su expresión confiada y ligeramente pícara. Quise capturarla justo en medio de una de sus misiones de infiltración. Viste una gran capucha y capa pesada en un tono magenta y púrpura muy vibrante, que sombrea parcialmente su rostro y le da un aura de misterio. En su mano sostiene con firmeza una daga metálica muy afilada, su herramienta de confianza tanto para eliminaciones silenciosas como para defenderse de cerca.
To bring her to life, I focused on a very dramatic and stylized lighting scheme. Since she is operating under the cover of darkness, I painted a strong, bright beam of pinkish-purple light cutting diagonally across the scene, illuminating her face, her short greyish-purple hair, and the metallic sheen of her blade. I achieved this effect by carefully blending soft airbrush highlights with deep, dark shadows in the background to emphasize the stealthy, nocturnal setting.
Para darle vida, me enfocé en un esquema de iluminación muy dramático y estilizado. Como ella opera bajo el manto de la oscuridad, pinté un fuerte haz de luz rosa-púrpura brillante que cruza diagonalmente la escena, iluminando su rostro, su cabello corto de tono grisáceo-púrpura y el brillo metálico de su hoja. Logré este efecto mezclando cuidadosamente brillos suaves con el aerógrafo y sombras muy oscuras en el fondo para enfatizar el ambiente nocturno y de sigilo.
Regarding the coloring and final details, I worked with several blending modes in my digital software to enhance the glowing effect. I used "Color Dodge" and "Linear Light" layers to make the magenta light source look intense and almost tangible, reflecting sharply off the metallic blade of her dagger and the folds of her hood. This contrast between highly saturated pink highlights and deep black shadows allowed me to achieve a cinematic atmosphere that perfectly represents the danger of her profession.
En cuanto al coloreado y los detalles finales, trabajé con varios modos de fusión en mi programa digital para intensificar el efecto de resplandor. Utilicé capas en modo "Añadir brillo" (Color Dodge) y "Luz lineal" para hacer que el haz de luz magenta se viera intenso y casi tangible, reflejándose con fuerza en la hoja metálica de su daga y en los pliegues de su capucha. Este contraste entre luces rosas súper saturadas y sombras negras profundas me permitió lograr una atmósfera cinematográfica que representa a la perfección el peligro de su profesión.
