Nontcha: The Guardian of the Golden Dunes | Digital Art

Good evening, my dearest #Steemit readers! Happy Wednesday to everyone—happy midweek! I hope you’re all doing great and having an excellent, productive week. It’s your friend Manuel here again, thrilled to share a new artistic post on my blog. This time, I decided to create a new # steemexclusive character whom I decided to name “Nontcha”—a young warrior and skilled swordsman who travels alone along the most dangerous paths. Despite his youth and the serenity he tries to convey on his face, he carries the weight of experience from hard battles, reflected in the scars on his skin, and travels with unwavering determination to protect a very important legacy.

Muy buenas noches mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de #Steemit, feliz miércoles para todos, feliz mitad de semana, espero que se encuentren super bien y que estén teniendo una excelente y productiva semana, por aquí los saluda en una nueva oportunidad su amigo Manuel, super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión me propuse inventarme un personaje #steemexclusive al cual decidí llamar por el nombre de (Nontcha), un joven guerrero y hábil espadachín que recorre en solitario los caminos más peligrosos, A pesar de su juventud y de la serenidad que intenta transmitir en su rostro, carga con la experiencia de duras batallas, reflejada en las marcas de su piel, y viaja con una determinación inquebrantable protegiendo un legado muy importante.

I hope you really like my idea, and here I'll show you a bit of the entire process:

Espero les guste mucho mi idea y aquí les mostrare un poco del proceso completo:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I had a very clear vision for the sketch; I wanted the character to look like a commanding traveler in the midst of a journey, so I drew him in a confident three-quarter pose, carrying a large sword strapped to his back with a rope. I wanted to add personality to his face by drawing thin, red-line-shaped scars on his cheeks and forehead. When it came to coloring (Nontcha), I decided to use a color palette consisting of browns, golds, and dark purples, laying the foundation for the skin with medium-toned bronze shades that matched my vision.

Para el boceto tenía mi idea super clara; quería que el personaje luciera como un viajero imponente en medio de una travesía, así que lo dibujé en una postura firme de tres cuartos, cargando una gran espada sujeta a su espalda con una cuerda. Quise añadirle personalidad al rostro dibujándole unas cicatrices delgadas en forma de líneas rojas sobre sus mejillas y frente. En el caso del coloreado para (Nontcha), se me ocurrió usar una paleta de colores compuesta por tonos marrones, dorados y morados oscuros, sentando la base para la piel con unos tonos bronceados intermedios que encajaran con mi idea.

When painting the skin, I like to use my airbrush to achieve a smoothness that better suits my style—ideal for capturing how the warm ambient light hits one side of her face and body, leaving the other in soft shadow. For the eyes, my idea was to create a striking contrast with the rest of the color palette, so I decided to use some very bright turquoise or light green shades, giving her an intense and serious look.

Me gusta usar para el pintado de la piel mi pincel de aerógrafo para lograr una suavidad más enfocada a mi estilo, ideal para captar cómo la luz cálida del entorno golpea un lado de su rostro y cuerpo, dejando el otro en una sombra suave. Para el pintado de los ojos mi idea fue la crear un contraste llamativo con el resto de la paleta, así que se me ocurrió usar unos tonos turquesas o verdes claros muy brillantes, dándole una mirada intensa y seria.

I painted the hair using brown and copper tones, creating a short hairstyle with strands that fall gently over her forehead; here I didn’t use as many brushes, but instead focused on adding intense highlights to the top to simulate the direct reflection of the sun. Finally, for the background, I painted a landscape of desert dunes under a stunning sunset using very vivid yellow and orange tones, which helped the character’s silhouette stand out much more.

El pintado del pelo lo hice usando tonos castaños y cobrizos, formando una cabellera corta con mechones que caen suavemente sobre su frente; aquí no usé tantos pinceles, sino que me enfoqué en colocar brillos intensos en la parte superior para simular el reflejo directo del sol. Finalmente, para el fondo, pinté un paisaje de dunas desérticas bajo un imponente atardecer con tonos amarillos y naranjas muy encendidos, lo que ayudó a que la silueta del personaje resaltara muchísimo más.
