Oskratt, Creators of Spirits of Destruction | Digital Art

Good afternoon, my dear readers in the #Steemit art community. Happy Thursday to everyone! I hope you’re all doing great and, of course, having a wonderful and productive week. For those of you who are new here, let me introduce myself: my name is Manuel, and I’d like to welcome you to my art blog.

Muy buenas tardes mis queridos lectores y lectoras de la comunidad artística de #Steemit, feliz jueves para todos, espero que se encuentren super bien y que, por supuesto estén teniendo una maravillosa y productiva semana, para quienes sean nuevo por aquí pues me presento, mi nombre es Manuel, y me gustaría darle la bienvenida a mi blog artístico.

This time, I decided to come up with a new #steemexclusive character. My idea was basically to create a woman with terrible, dark powers named (Oskratt), who can conjure up spectres with a life of their own from the palms of her hands. But these creations are neither friendly nor docile; they take pleasure only in chaos and destruction, just like their creator:

En esta ocasión se me ocurrió inventarme un nuevo personaje #steemexclusive, mi idea básicamente fue crear una mujer con terribles y oscuros poderes llamada (Oskratt), la cual desde las palmas de sus manos puede generar espectros con vida propia, pero estas creaciones no son nada amigables o dóciles, ellas solo sienten placer por el caos y la destrucción, al igual que su creadora:

PROCESS / PROCESO

As for the sketching process, my idea was for her arms to be slightly crossed in front of her, while her hands held two large masses of energy—sort of like specters made of ectoplasm that she herself had created. Once I finished the sketching process, I moved on to coloring. In this case, I started with a base of pale green and brown tones to give the main character (Oskratt) a rather sinister appearance. I used the airbrush tool a bit for the base and volume of the skin, taking care not to blend too much.

En cuanto al proceso de bocetado mi idea fue que sus brazos estuviesen un poco entre cruzados hacia el frente, mientras que sus manos estuviesen sosteniendo 2 grandes masas de energía, las cuales serían especies de espectros hechos de ectoplasma los cuales fueron creados por ella misma. Una vez terminé con el proceso de bocetado continúe con el proceso de coloreado, en este caso empecé con una base de tonos verdes y marrones pálidos, esto para darle una apariencia bastante siniestra al personaje principal de (Oskratt), use un poco el pincel de aerógrafo para la base y volumen de la piel y no difumine demasiado.

In the second stage, I continued working on the facial expressions, which would give (Oskratt) his essence and personality. For the eyes, I used pink tones as a base and then intense purples and violets for the inner corners; in this case, I painted the eyes slightly closed to give the character a serious look; then for the mouth, I used the same shades but with a bit more shading, giving the lips some volume and complementing the serious expression in the eyes. For the hair painting, I decided to use shades of gray and grayish purple. First, I laid down the base for the long, straight hair; then, using the airbrush, I applied soft strokes to give the hair a bit of depth; and finally, I used a bristle brush to add the final texture.

En la 2da etapa proseguí con el trabajo de expresión del rostro, los cuales darían la esencia y personalidad a (Oskratt), en el caso de los ojos use tonos rosados como base y luego morados y violetas intensos para la parte interna, en este caso pinte la mirada un poco cerrada para dar seriedad al personaje; luego para la boca use los mismos tonos, pero con un poco más de sombras, dando cierto volumen a los labios y complementando la expresión seria de los ojos. Para el pintado del cabello decidí usar tonos grises y morados grisáceos, lo primero fue sentar la base de la cabellera larga y lisa, luego con el aerógrafo fui realizando trazos suaves y dando un poco de relieve al pelo, y al final con el pincel de cerdas di la textura final.

For painting the clothing, I decided to use shades I already had in my color palette. I chose a couple of pale purple shades and created a long dress or nightgown that reached down to the thighs, with long sleeves and a pleated neckline, but with plenty of shading to maintain the somber style I had in mind for this character. To create the two plasma specters floating above Oskratt’s hands, I first chose a couple of shades ranging from pink to burgundy to form sort of spheres; then I added circular volume and left some open strokes at the tips; to create the eyes, I used dark shades and shaped elongated eyes with an evil expression, and finally, I used the airbrush to create a sort of aura around the specters and applied a couple of layer effects to highlight them.

Para el pintado de la ropa decidí usar tonos que ya tenia en mi paleta de colores, tome un par de tonos morados pálidos y cree un largo vestido o camisón que llegara hasta los muslos, con mangas larga y cuello con dobleces, pero con muchas sombras para mantener el estilo lúgubre que tenia en mente para este personaje. Para crear los 2 espectros de plasma que flotan sobre las manos de (Oskratt) lo primero fue tomar un par de tonos entre rosado y Vinotinto para crear especies de esferas, luego fui añadiendo volumen circular y dejando algunos trazos en puntas abiertos; para la creación de los ojos use tonos oscuros y forme ojos alargados y una expresión malvada, y al final tome el aerógrafo para formar cierta aura alrededor de los espectros y aplique un par de efectos de capa para iluminarlos.
