Verannia: The Warrior of the Mystical Moon | Digital Art

Good evening, my dearest #Steemit readers! Happy Tuesday to everyone who’s here reading my post once again. Your friend Manuel here, and I’m so happy to bring you a new artistic post for my blog. This time, I wanted to create an artistic portrayal of a character that’s completely #steemexclusive—a powerful and mystical warrior whom I decided to name Verannia. I didn’t want her to be just an ordinary warrior; instead, I sought to endow her with an enigmatic aura and a gaze brimming with confidence and determination—perfect for starring in her own dark fantasy story.

Muy buenas noches mis queridísimos lectores y lectoras de #Steemit, feliz martes para todos los que se encuentran por aquí leyéndome en esta nueva oportunidad, por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel, súper feliz de poder traerles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta oportunidad quise realizar una representación artística de un personaje completamente #steemexclusive , una poderosa y mística guerrera a la que decidí llamar Verannia. No quise que fuese una simple guerrera común, sino que busqué dotarla de un aura enigmática y una mirada cargada de confianza y determinación, perfecta para protagonizar su propia historia de fantasía oscura.

I hope you really like my idea, and here I'll show you part of the process from start to finish:

Espero les guste mucho mi idea, y aquí les enseñare parte del proceso de la obra de principio a fin:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I decided to start by creating a basic sketch focused on Verannia’s elegant pose; I positioned her in profile, but with her face subtly turned toward the viewer, wearing a confident smile. In her hands, I sketched an imposing, oversized polearm, designed with several overlapping sharp blades that resemble a sort of cutting fan or multiple scythe. Once I had finished the sketching process, I moved on to the painting process. For the skin, I wanted to break with tradition and opted for a very mystical purple or lilac hue, decorating her face and hands with dark markings or tattoos in the shape of moons and spirals. I worked on the skin’s volume using an airbrush to achieve a smooth, polished look, adding deep shadows to highlight her features.

Decidí empezar construyendo un boceto básico enfocado en la elegante pose de Verannia, a quien ubiqué de perfil, pero girando sutilmente su rostro hacia el espectador con una sonrisa confiada. En sus manos, tracé una imponente arma de asta de gran tamaño, diseñada con varias hojas afiladas superpuestas que emulan una especie de abanico cortante o guadaña múltiple. Ya habiendo culminado con el proceso de bocetado, continué con el proceso de pintado. En el caso de la piel, quise romper con lo tradicional y opté por una tonalidad morada o lila muy mística, decorando su rostro y manos con marcas o tatuajes oscuros en forma de lunas y espirales. Trabajé el volumen de la piel usando el aerógrafo para conseguir una apariencia suave y pulida, añadiendo sombras profundas para destacar sus facciones.

As for the outfit, I chose dark tones to accentuate the piece’s nocturnal atmosphere. Using fairly soft brushstrokes and careful transitions, I created a long-sleeved outfit in a deep navy blue, complemented by opaque gloves and armor that cover her arms and legs. For the hair, I opted for long, straight hair in reddish-brown tones with subtle flashes of golden light, texturing the strands in detail with my bristle brush to give it movement and a natural look as it falls over her shoulders.

En lo que respecta a la vestimenta seleccioné tonos oscuros para acentuar el aire nocturno de la obra, con pinceles bastante suaves y transiciones cuidadosas, creé un traje de mangas largas en un color azul marino profundo, complementado con guantes y protectores opacos que cubren sus brazos y piernas. Para el cabello, me decanté por una cabellera larga y lacia en tonos castaños rojizos con sutiles destellos de luz dorada, texturizando las hebras detalladamente con mi pincel de cerdas para darle movimiento y naturalidad mientras cae sobre sus hombros.

As a finishing touch to reinforce Verannia’s mystique, I paid special attention to her gaze, painting her eyes a striking, bright crimson red. Next, when painting the weapon, I used vivid silver and gold tones along the edges of the blades to simulate the texture of gleaming metal, contrasting them with black and bluish areas on the body of the blades. Using my spatter brush and airbrush, I created a series of sparkles and whitish luminous effects around the weapon to simulate magical energy or the reflection of light amid the darkness of the background, which I decorated with small, blurred points of light and a completely somber atmosphere.

Como toque final para consolidar el misticismo de Verannia, puse especial atención en su mirada, pintando sus ojos con un llamativo color rojo carmesí brillante. Posteriormente, para el pintado del arma utilicé como base tonos plateados y dorados muy vivos en los bordes de los filos para simular la textura del metal reluciente, contrastándolos con zonas negras y azuladas en el cuerpo de las hojas. Con mi pincel de chispas y el aerógrafo, creé una serie de destellos y efectos luminosos blanquecinos alrededor del arma para simular una energía mágica o el reflejo de la luz en medio de la oscuridad del fondo, el cual decoré con pequeños puntos de luz difuminados y un ambiente completamente sombrío.
