Today, I want to take you on a journey to the heart of rural Iraq. While many see Iraq through news or history books, I want to show you my daily reality—a struggle that doesn't make the headlines, but defines every hour of our lives.
The Taste of Salt 🧂
Imagine waking up, wanting to wash your face or water your garden, but the water is white with salt. In my village, our water has become so saline that it’s killing our land and our dreams.
The Suffering We Face:

• Agriculture: The crops we used to grow are dying. The soil is turning into a crust of salt.
• Daily Life: We have to buy fresh water for drinking and cooking, which is a huge financial burden for a rural family.
• The Environment: The beautiful marshes and palm groves that were once lush and green are struggling to survive.
  Why I am sharing this?
  I believe that Steemit is a platform not just for profit, but for Global Awareness. I want my friends in Europe, America, and all over the world to see the impact of climate change and water management on a simple person’s life in Iraq.
  We are resilient, we love our land, but the water is our lifeblood, and right now, it is salty and scarce.
