Today, a team managed by Laszlo was in charge to start the modelization of the #SteemFest event space.

Before to go to SteemFest we asked the team to find pictures of the event location with the intention to pre build some of the areas in 3d and produce an interactive scene of the event, what we would name a 3d event coverage.

For making this, @jnmarteau asked @mammasitta to contact @roelandp, the founder of #steemfest prior the event. However, the time was running for everyone and we could not communicate properly to get the data in time. So, the day before the event the team was briefed to make a maximum of pictures of the conference places and keynotes. Everyone was aware that it might be challenging or very complicated as everyone will be busy networking and following the various talks, presentations as well as to represent @globalschool.

While the event was running, we could not get enough raw material from the few pictures made by the team as they we were all #very busy and we could not receive picture in number to modelize the event. So we took some days to look for a maximum of posts to find a maximum of pictures and videos, and after a while we started the modelization work.

Next year we want to be ready, that is why we are really motivated to cooperate with @roelandp and all the motivated steemians to create the event area prior the event to have a very interactive 3d map of the event in which we will be able to discover the event space and all the participants, projects, visualize the video of their presentation integrated as well as to provide a maximum of interactivity by adding all playful interactivity.

In between we will do our best to create a prototype based on this year event, so we can optimize the tools and have the best 3d map features next year thanks to your feedback.

While we will have the 3d model ready for the event, we would like to cooperate also with @fundition to allow to fundraise via the 3d map, so the participants can have automatically a @fundition page linked to their keynote/presentation which can be triggered within the 3d space. We would also love to cooperate with @appics and many others talented video producers and creatives to create the cinematics, learning experience and videos inside the 3d space. Our goal is to produce a photo realistic scene and integrate also video with chroma key ^^ which allow a maximum of fantasy.

Here a preview of the 3d model without texture and minimum level of details of one of the conference room of SteemFest 2018 in Krakow. This 3d scene has been made today 19/11/2018 morning by 3 of our IT students based on few pictures received from the event location. The rendering is in low polygons and without final textures, just with basic colors.
