It's nothing extraordinary; but it's done.
For the following entry, I used the Dangerous Writing App; eek!
I set the timer for 5 minutes, and got started. Super fun. I've been "meaning to write more regularly," and this was a good excercise to stir the creative juices.
Great idea for a tool! I wonder what the default value is before it starts erasing.
There is value in stopping to think, I think. What is my limit for that? Who gets to decide how much thought is "too much thought" for writing practice?
Writers, probably.
Of which I am one.
Apparently.
Evidently now (see above and below).
Oh I see! It fades away on pause. So if you begin to get lost in thought, it snaps you back!
That's fair, I guess. But what if I genuinely need to pause? I just don't get to?
Seems unfair to the reader, really. A reader wants a well-thought out something to be readable.
It's unfair to a writer, too. A writer wants to be able to have their thoughts well understood and well appreciated.
This modality allows neither for either: neither a well-thought out something nor a readable something for the reader, and neither a well understood series of thoughts nor a well appreciated selection for writers.
Still, I've read that if you write, then you are a writer.
So here we are.
Here I am.
I am a writer. And you are my reader. There we have it.
Nothing extraordinary.
But at least it's done.
